Stairlifts – one of many great alternatives to assisted living.
If you’re wondering if it’s time to move yourself or a parent into an assisted living environment, consider this – many changes can be made to your home that will affordably make it safer for extended living.
Whether you’re suffering from arthritis, blood sugar issues, high blood pressure, MS, chronic hip and joint problems, Parkinson’s or other issues that may impede your mobility, you need not give up on living at home just yet.
With the technological advancements in stair lifts, for instance, there really is no home or set of stairs that cannot be made more safe; even spiral stairways. And, with a company like Living Free Home, with a history as a trusted supplier, you can rest assured that your stair lift will be properly installed and fully backed.
The alternative many older adults choose is limiting their living space to just one floor of their home, sleeping on an extra bed or even a couch. This is not a desirable way to spend time in a home they love. And when you see the affordable solutions at Living Free Home, you’ll realize they could easily and safely extend their time in their home.
Installation is usually very simple. Living free home keeps straight rail stair lifts in our warehouse and can install within 48 hours of your making an appointment. Once our technicians are at your home most stairlifts are installed within a couple of hours.
Curved stairs may require a custom fabricated rail. This can usually be fabricated in 3-4 weeks. Our experts can configure a stairlift for almost any stair case, from simple straight stairs to multiple landings or curves.
We will take all the time you need showing you how to operate the stairlift. When the stair lift is not in use, you can simply fold the seat up to get it out of the way.
The Living Free Home Low Price Guarantee: Despite the major differences between us and other retailers (most other retailers do not offer installation, let alone FREE installation), we will always beat competitor prices. If you find a lower price on the exact same product, including delivery and installation, we will beat that price by 10%. “Same” is defined as an item of the same styling, by the same manufacturer and same item number.
There are many ways Living Free Home can help extend the time you or your parents spend in their home.
A great way to start learning more is by letting us conduct a free, extensive home evaluation. Call 888-545-4846 to set up a free appointment for a home evaluation visit.

It is great to give alternatives, but sometimes assisted living is the only logical solution. When mobility, hygiene, and health are all major factors, it should be time to consider assisted living.
I don’t disagree with your point about hygiene, or health Mark. But the mobility issue can be overcome for a long time. With my grandmother, we were able to keep her happily living in her 2-story home for several years before moving her into an assisted living facility. We put in a stair lift and that helped a lot. But we also had a company go around and do a full check on the house to see what else needed changing. They pointed out that my grandmother still went down these dangerous cement steps in the back of the house to do her laundry, something I’d forgotten. They recommended we move the wash machines upstairs, which helped a lot.
I felt so much better knowing that my grandmother could spend more time in her home, if even for a few more years. That extra time helped her get mentally prepared for leaving the home she had loved for all those years.
